Springtime at the Metropolitan Opera 2010
March 12 - March 17, 2010

Another springtime opera experience with the incomparable Fred Plotkin! What makes this particular opera itinerary unique is that you will attend three new productions, two of which are Met premieres (Shostakovich's The Nose and Verdi's Attila) and the third an opening night (Thomas's Hamlet). To complete the week are Puccini's La Bohéme and the National Council Grand Finals Concert. The 2010 opera tour has many great singers and four superb conductors. Such a stellar constellation (Anna Netrebko, Natalie Dessay, James Morris, Riccardo Muti, Valery Gergiev, to name but a few), can only be found at the Met! Whether you are joining us again for our opera series with Fred or are a new-comer to our opera itineraries, be prepared to enjoy a fabulous week full of great opera, delicious food, and lively conversation.

Fred Plotkin, author of Opera 101: A Complete Guide to Learning and Loving Opera, sets the gold standard as a study leader for opera, food, wind and all the pleasures of life.
