Travel by Private Jet
Our specially-outfitted Boeing 757 is ideally suited for this around-the-world expedition. Its long-range capabilities and ability to land in smaller airports afford us unmatched flexibility. We set our own schedules, flying direct and avoiding layovers, allowing us the freedom to make the most of our adventures on land. The interior has been customized and refitted to our specifications to provide the ultimate in comfort and convenience, accommodating just 88 travelers in 2x2 VIP-style seats, instead of the standard 228. To get to some of the more remote, hard-to-reach destinations on this expedition, we also fly on local aircraft..
Expedition Staff and Crew
Our talented expedition staff is a team of experienced travel experts who look forward to accompanying you throughout the journey. These highly skilled professionals attend to the expedition's every logistical detail, ensuring that your experience is worry-free and thoroughly positive. Also, a dedicated flight crew is specially selected for this expedition, chosen for their topnotch hospitality and keen attention to detail, safety, and security.
Expedition Physician
For your comfort and well-being, an expedition physician accompanies us throughout the journey. Well-traveled and especially knowledgeable in travel medicine, the physician will be ready to provide healthcare services whenever and wherever they may be needed.
Expedition Chef
We travel with our own expedition chef who creates delicious meals inspired by the various places we visit. Taking advantage of the best and freshest local ingredients, our chef prepares dishes in local hotels or airport kitchens just before takeoff, and serves them onboard in style with a selection of wines.
Learn While You Explore
Enrichment is the key to rewarding exploration. Travel with world-class experts, chosen for their ability to illuminate the history of empires, the varied cultures we encounter, and the outstanding examples of art and architecture we visit. While on the jet, we make use of an in-flight media system for lectures and discussions. In addition, you may enjoy destination-specific DVDs, books, and other publications from the jet's library.

Nearby, explore the Barkhor Market, offering a glimpse of everyday life and a chance to admire finely crafted ornaments, carvings, and block prints of holy scriptures. At the foot of Tatipu Hill in the northern outskirts of town, we may see monks in the debating courtyard of the 600-year-old Sera Monastery, continuing a long-held tradition that attests to the monastery’s deep scholastic roots. Then head to the Potala Palace, once the winter residence of the Dalai Lama and the center of Tibetan government for more than 300 years. Wander the palace’s labyrinthine corridors to countless rooms lavishly decorated with centuries of Buddhist artwork and artifacts. We then fly back to Chengdu, China, where we reboard our private jet and continue on to India. Bramaputra Grand Hotel, Lhasa

Explore this naturalist’s and photographer’s paradise during a time of year known for the golden light in the late afternoon and striking sunsets.
Begin your safari from the moment you land in the bush with a game drive en route to your luxury camp or lodge. Later, venture deep into the savannah and be surrounded by the beauty of the land and the staggering concentration of animals that live here. The Serengeti Plain is home to Africa’s densest “big cat” predator populations (lions, cheetahs, and leopards). Wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, impala, and giraffe abound here, and although these animals are protected from human hunters, they may not be spared by the “big cats,” as we may witness while exploring this area. Enjoy the fine amenities and panoramic views from one of three of the Serengeti’s finest accommodations. Serengeti Migration Camp, Kirawara Camp, or Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge, Tanzania
| | 20-22 | Luxor or Petra | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, March 17, 18 & 19 Luxor & Giza, Egypt or Petra, Jordan Upon arrival, we visit Luxor Temple en route to our hotel. This temple’s grand entry is distinguished by enormous statues of Ramses II and a procession of small sphinxes. The next day, explore the great Hypostyle Hall and temples of Karnak, the largest ancient religious site in the world, described by ancient Egyptians as “the most perfect of places.” Sail the Nile River in traditional felucca boats, and then head to the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Here, visit Tutankhamun’s tomb, discovered nearly completely intact by Howard Carter in 1923; and the tomb of Hatshepsut, the longest reigning female Pharaoh and one of history’s greatest female leaders. Marvel at the Colossi of Agamemnon, two enormous statues and all that remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III -- one of Egypt’s most successful rulers and the man who commissioned many of the places we see in Luxor. In the evening, enjoy a special gala farewell dinner. Sonesta St. George Hotel (Luxor)
On Thursday morning, we board our private jet and fly to Cairo, then transfer to Gîza to visit the Pyramids -- including the 4,500-year-old Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) -- and the Sphinx. We then continue on to Morocco.
Alternate: Instead of exploring Egypt, you may visit Petra, the Lost City of the Nabataeans. While here, spend a night at the Mövenpick Resort Petra.

Peruse the fine wares at the bustling souks and hidden fondouks, where Morocco’s traditional arts and crafts flourish. Observe tanners, silk dyers, brass workers and other skilled artisans who carry on with fascinating centuries-old traditions. Just west of the medina, at Fez el J’did, view the imposing gates of the Royal Palace covered with rich zellige tile work.
